Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Sideline ("the App," "Service," or "we," "us," "our"), you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sideline. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

2.1 Overview

Sideline is a mobile application that provides sports scores, match summaries, statistics, event timelines, highlights, and notifications for various sports leagues. The Service is designed to deliver sports information in a curated, user-friendly format.

2.2 Beta Features

Certain features may be offered in beta, early access, or preview mode. Beta features are provided "as is" and may be unstable, incomplete, or subject to change or removal without notice. Your use of beta features is at your own risk, and we make no commitments regarding their availability or functionality.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using Sideline, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

4.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Services

Sideline may offer subscription-based access to premium features. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and included features will be clearly presented before purchase.

5.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selection). Payment will be charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account at confirmation of purchase.

5.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store account settings.

5.4 Refunds

Refund requests are subject to the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable. Sideline does not directly process refunds for purchases made through these platforms.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle following notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the App without our express written permission
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App without authorization
• Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or commercially exploit the App or its content
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the App
• Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Sideline Property

The App, including its design, features, functionality, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Sideline and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7.2 Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, unless laws prohibit these restrictions or you have our written permission.

7.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App ("Feedback"), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into the App without any obligation to you.

8. Third-Party Content and Services

8.1 Sports Data

The App displays sports scores, statistics, highlights, and other content obtained from third-party data providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of such information. Sports data is provided "as is" and may be subject to delays, errors, or omissions.

8.2 Highlights and Media

Video highlights and other media content displayed in the App may be sourced from third parties and are subject to their respective terms and conditions. Such content is provided for personal, non-commercial viewing only.

8.3 Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

8.4 No Endorsement

Reference to any third-party products, services, teams, leagues, or organizations does not constitute or imply endorsement by Sideline.

8.5 No Affiliation with Leagues or Teams

Sideline is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with any sports league, team, organization, or governing body, including but not limited to the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Baseball (MLB), Premier League, UEFA, FIFA, or any of their respective teams, players, or affiliates.

All team names, logos, league names, and related trademarks displayed in the App are the property of their respective owners and are used for informational purposes only. Use of these marks does not imply any relationship, sponsorship, or endorsement.

8.6 Service and Data Availability

Sports data, scores, highlights, and other content depend on third-party providers and may be unavailable, delayed, or interrupted due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to broadcast restrictions, provider outages, league schedules, game postponements, or licensing changes. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to any specific content or data feed.

8.7 Geographic Restrictions

Certain content, including video highlights, may be subject to geographic restrictions due to licensing agreements. Availability of specific content may vary by region, and we reserve the right to limit access to certain features or content based on your location.

9. Notifications

9.1 Push Notifications

By enabling push notifications, you consent to receive alerts about scores, game updates, and other sports-related information. You can manage notification preferences within the App settings or through your device settings.

9.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee the delivery, timeliness, or accuracy of notifications. Notifications may be delayed or fail due to network conditions, device settings, or other factors beyond our control.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 "As Is" Basis

The App and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

10.2 No Warranty of Accuracy

We do not warrant that sports scores, statistics, schedules, or other information displayed in the App will be accurate, complete, or current. You acknowledge that reliance on any information provided by the App is at your own risk.

10.3 No Warranty of Availability

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

10.4 No Gambling or Betting Advice

The App does not provide gambling, betting, or wagering advice. Information provided is for informational and entertainment purposes only and should not be used for gambling decisions.

10.5 No Reliance

You acknowledge that the App is for informational and entertainment purposes only. You agree not to rely on information provided by the App for financial, gambling, wagering, or other decisions where accuracy is critical. We disclaim all liability for any losses incurred as a result of reliance on information provided through the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Exclusion of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sideline and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

11.2 Cap on Liability

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the App exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

11.3 Essential Purpose

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sideline and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting you via email within 30 days.

13.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13.3 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Stockholm, Sweden.

13.4 Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, providing additional notice (such as through the App or via email).

Your continued use of the App following the posting of revised Terms means you accept and agree to the changes.

15. Termination

15.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time. To fully terminate your relationship with Sideline, you must delete your account and uninstall the App.

15.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

15.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

16. General Provisions

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sideline regarding your use of the App.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16.3 Waiver

No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Our failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

16.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet service interruptions.
